The Leibster Award

Hey pretty guys and gals! Hope ya'll are having a wonderful day!

Another award!!!! Yay!!!
I was nominated for the Leibster Award by Lily at Beauty With Lily She's a wonderful girl with an equally as wonderful blog, check her out!

The Liebster award is intended to give some exposure to small blogs with less than 200 followers.
The rules are as follows:
** Link back to the blogger who nominated you.
** Answer the 11 questions given to you by the blogger who nominated you.
** Nominate 11 other bloggers with less than 200 followers.** Go to the blogs you nominated and notify them of your nomination.
** Give your nominees 11 questions to answer.

1. What blog do you follow religiously?
** 2030Glam's Blog :)

2. What is your DREAM job?
**I'd love to work at a MAC counter!

3. What does your family/friends thing of you blogging? Are they supportive?
**My boyfriend is super-supportive! <3

4. What is one beauty/fashion trend you don't like? Why?
**I don't really pay attention to trends simply because I don't like following them.

5. What is your favorite thing about yourself? Why?
**My personality, everyone says I'm bubbly and funny and I like hearing that about me lol

6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
**I don't know where I see myself then.

7. What are 2 beauty products you can NOT live without?
**MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly and Hard Candy's Welcome Matte Mattifying Powder

8. What is one beauty product you highly recommend to others?
**Again, Hard Candy's Welcome Matte Mattifying Powder

9. What do you love and hate about blogging? Why?
**Talking about and reviewing products that people may not have heard of before or are on the fence about buying them

10. Say you lost all of your makeup, yep ALL of it, and you only had time to go to Target and pick up 5 things...what would you pick up?
**Generalizing here, no specific brands, but 1, I'd look for a concealer that I could also use as an eyeshadow primer, 2 a purple eyeshadow, 3 a dark purple eyeliner, 4 a mascara, and 5 a pressed powder.

11. Have you ever been in a blogging funk? Where you don't know what to write about, you feel like nobody cares...etc. How do you deal with it?
**I don't write, I don't want to bore my readers when I'm like that. So I usually either just take a break or go play with my makeup and find something I haven't used in awhile and use it. Then I review it if I don't have any problems with it.

So that was all my questions that I needed to answer!
Everyone that I want to tag has either already done it or have too many followers!

Much love to all my pretty guys and gals!

The Halloween Tag!

Hey pretty guys and gals! Hope everyone is having a lovely week!
I know I've been MIA from the blog and I apologize, but I don't like posting when I don't have anything new to talk about lol. Anyhow, I'm back and have loads to share with you! This first post is going to be a tag post, hope you enjoy!

I was tagged by TwentyThirtyGlam check them out if you haven't already, they're AWESOME! <3

So let's jump in!
1. What is your favorite Halloween movie?
**I wouldn't call it a movie but my favorite is "Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin"
But I have two other favorite movies, Suck and Van Helsing!

2. What was your favorite costume?
**Vampire, hands down! In my years of dressing up, I've been Pocahontas, tooth fairy, witch, Hermione from Harry Potter and Vampire has to be my all-time favorite!

3. Do you like haunted houses?
**Loved them when I was little, haven't been in one in forever... Would probably enjoy it, if say my boyfriend was with me in case I get scared lol.

4. What's your favorite candy?
**Hershey's Cookies 'N' Cream bars :)

5. Do you decorate for Halloween?
**I didn't this year, but I normally do!

6. Do you still dress up for Halloween? And if so, what are you going to be this year?
**Depends on what I'm doing. We don't get trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood since it's a dead end street, but if I go to a party or I'm allowed to for work I will as a vampire.

7. What is the one Halloween candy you can't stand?
**Anything caramel... It's too sweet for me lol. I don't even like caramel popcorn.

8. What's your best halloween memory?
**When I was 17, back in 2008, I took a 5 year old boy I was babysitting trick-or-treating for his first time. And since I was still somewhat young enough to trick or treat, I helped him out a bit and trick or treated with him. I knew he wouldn't trick or treat for long cause he was little and he had a breathing disorder. So when we finished at a whopping 30 minutes, I gave him most of my candy :)

9. What song comes to mind when you think of Halloween?
**The Monster Mash, Welcome to My Nightmare, This is Halloween... I could really go on lol.

10. What's your favorite part of Halloween?
**Candy and seeing the kids in their costumes!

11. Would you rather trick or treat?
**Treat!!!

12. Candy Corn. Take it, or leave it?
**Meh

13. If a black cat crosses your path, what do you do?
**Absolutely nothing, I had one for 10 years growing up and nothing super bad happened to me after I got him, I think they're pretty cats actually! <3

14. Do you carve/decorate pumpkins?
**I used to every year, but haven't done so in the last two years due to either money problems, lack of time or I couldn't put the pumpkin in a proper place to be admired. And... I can't remember if I kept all my pumpkin carving equipment in my moving process.

15. How old were you when you stopped trick or treating?
**I was 12 when I stopped consecutively, but I went when I was 17 to help a little guy out! <3

16. Festive nail art. Yes or no?
**As far as nail art goes for me is orange/gold nail polish a glittery top coat or just dark purple nails!

That's all for the tag! Stay tuned for my sporadic blog posts!

Much love to all my pretty guys and gals! Hope you have a wonderful Halloween! <3

Strawberry Fields by China Glaze

Hey pretty guys and gals! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
It's Monday and you know what Monday means on my blog! ... Yeah, it means it's time for me to pick a nail polish to "showcase" this week!
In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, I pick Strawberry Fields by China Glaze. They re-set their permanent collection earlier this year (which made me mad lol) and Strawberry Fields was added. It was originally released last year in October as a limited edition shade in the Breast Cancer Awareness collection (can't remember the exact name)!
It's a pretty, bright pink polish with orange shimmer in it! (If China Glaze would make a medium purple nail polish with orange shimmer in it and make it permanent, I'd promise to only buy polishes from them for the rest of my life)
China Glaze Strawberry Fields (No flash, indoor lighting),
2 days of wear and tear

China Glaze Strawberry Fields (Flash used),
2 days of wear and tear
I hope you all enjoyed my nail pick of the week post, I'd love to know what colors you're flaunting this week! Filming new Youtube videos tomorrow, not sure when they're going to be uploaded, maybe tomorrow or Wednesday (new job stuff).
Much love to all my pretty guys and gals! :) <3

Fall Foundation and Basics Changes

Hey pretty guys and gals! Hope you all are having a wonderful day! :)

So, fall is officially here! And you know what that means for makeup wearers... Right?

That's right! It's time for us to change out our foundations and other 'makeup basics'! Whether that means switching to a lighter shade or something more moisturizing, it's simply a beauty must! :)

What am I switching? I'm glad you asked!
I switch my foundation, eyeshadow base, and concealer!

What do I wear in the summer?
Even in the summer months, I'm a pale ghostie, so I wear MAC's Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Light for foundation. I also wear MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly. And for concealer, I use Benefit's Erase Paste.

My Summer Basics!

What do I wear in the winter?
So for a pale ghostie, what do I switch to if I use the palest of the pale? Well, I did my research and found some stuff that's paler than what I already use! So, for powder foundation, I actually use Hard Candy's Welcome Matte Mattifying Powder lol, it IS translucent but it has buildable coverage. For eyeshadow base, I switch to MAC's Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. And for concealer, I use Amazing Cosmetic's Amazing Concealer in Ivory!

My Winter Essentials!

Why do you switch eyeshadow bases?
My skin tone gets light enough in the fall/winter season that Painterly looks orange against my skin! Pretty yucky if you ask me! And if I wear Soft Ochre in the summer, it makes me look yellow... Also yucky!

Do you use liquid foundation in winter for extra moisturizer?
Absolutely, but I don't have a favorite yet! I'm going to be using Olay Fresh Effect's BB Cream, of course!

My dearly beloved Olay BB Cream!

But I also have couple other products to try, Sephora's Instant Radiance in Light/Ivory and Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Nude!

Sephora and Laura Mercier products I'm trying! Can't wait! :)
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I'd love to see your changes in basic makeup for fall! If there's any products in this blog you want me to do a review for, let me know either on Twitter or in the comments below!

Much love to all my pretty guys and gals! :)

Gallbladder Surgery, 1 Year Later!

Hey pretty guys and gals!
Being 22 years old, you probably wouldn't expect me to have gone through gallbladder surgery already, but I have. I had the surgery on October 4, 2012, so it's been nearly a year. And to "celebrate" I want to make a video next week about my story, the surgery, the recovery period and everything I can possibly cover! I want to make this video because it's something that's effecting people younger and younger all the time. I also want to make this video for those people who may be about to have the surgery and aren't sure what to expect, I know I was totally freaked out lol!
In addition to telling my story, I want to tell my mother's story and one of my aunt's stories. They both had the surgery but the effects of things were different, so it can be hereditary but manifest itself differently and affect people in different ways. There will also be pics shown of my tummy a couple days after surgery versus now!

So, here's how ya'll can help! Think of any questions you can that you want answered, and leave them in my comments here or you can ask me on twitter!

Hope ya'll have a lovely day or evening or whatever time of day it is where you are!
Much love to all my pretty guys and gals! *mwah* :)
