Fall Foundation and Basics Changes

Hey pretty guys and gals! Hope you all are having a wonderful day! :)

So, fall is officially here! And you know what that means for makeup wearers... Right?

That's right! It's time for us to change out our foundations and other 'makeup basics'! Whether that means switching to a lighter shade or something more moisturizing, it's simply a beauty must! :)

What am I switching? I'm glad you asked!
I switch my foundation, eyeshadow base, and concealer!

What do I wear in the summer?
Even in the summer months, I'm a pale ghostie, so I wear MAC's Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Light for foundation. I also wear MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly. And for concealer, I use Benefit's Erase Paste.

My Summer Basics!

What do I wear in the winter?
So for a pale ghostie, what do I switch to if I use the palest of the pale? Well, I did my research and found some stuff that's paler than what I already use! So, for powder foundation, I actually use Hard Candy's Welcome Matte Mattifying Powder lol, it IS translucent but it has buildable coverage. For eyeshadow base, I switch to MAC's Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. And for concealer, I use Amazing Cosmetic's Amazing Concealer in Ivory!

My Winter Essentials!

Why do you switch eyeshadow bases?
My skin tone gets light enough in the fall/winter season that Painterly looks orange against my skin! Pretty yucky if you ask me! And if I wear Soft Ochre in the summer, it makes me look yellow... Also yucky!

Do you use liquid foundation in winter for extra moisturizer?
Absolutely, but I don't have a favorite yet! I'm going to be using Olay Fresh Effect's BB Cream, of course!

My dearly beloved Olay BB Cream!

But I also have couple other products to try, Sephora's Instant Radiance in Light/Ivory and Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Nude!

Sephora and Laura Mercier products I'm trying! Can't wait! :)
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I'd love to see your changes in basic makeup for fall! If there's any products in this blog you want me to do a review for, let me know either on Twitter or in the comments below!

Much love to all my pretty guys and gals! :)

    1. The powder is awesome! If I had to pick one powder to pick to keep forever, it would be that because it's a multi-purpose powder. You can use it as a light-moderate foundation if you have a pale complexion, it's buildable. And of course, it's a great setting powder! A lot of product for what it costs, it's 6 or 7 bucks here! Much love and thanks :)

    1. It works great with my skin, it looks darker in the package than it really is, I thought the same thing when I got it. But I swatched it and tried it and it works! I highly recommend it! :)

  5. I wonder why I never hear anyone talk about the hard candy powder? After reading this I'm curious to try it. I really enjoyed this post. Everyone talks about fall lip colors and such but no one talks about changing their foundation and such. Great post and I have your button up on my blog. :) thanks for sharing<3

    1. I don't think many people use it, but I am doing a review on it soon on Youtube, along with a couple other products! Thanks, I don't really follow seasonal color trends (if I do, it's unintentional) so I thought this would be a good post! Thank you so much for your support love! <3
